Dasara Navaratri is a time to turn towards the Divine Mother with devotion and surrender.
Maha Sakthi Yagam provides devotees an opportunity to witness magnificent Devi alankarams, participate in sacred rituals, offer prayers, light the Aiswarya Deepam, receive Prasadam and become part of a vast collective spiritual celebration.
From the glow of thousands of lamps to the chanting of Vedic mantras, from the sacred fire of the homam to the serving of Anna Prasadam, every element of Maha Sakthi Yagam is an offering to the Divine.
Main Programmes
- Aiswarya Deepam – the principal highlight of Maha Sakthi Yagam 2026, dedicated to invoking the blessings of Divine Shakti for prosperity, abundance and well-being.
- 10 Days of Devi Alankarams – special divine alankarams of the Goddess throughout the Dasara Navaratri celebrations.
- 108 Brahmins’ Upavasa, Aradhana and Japam – sacred spiritual practices performed by 108 Brahmins during the festival.
- 1008 Shakti Kundatmaka Nava Shakti Homam – a grand Nava Shakti Homam performed through 1008 sacred homa kundas.
- Sri Lalitha Sahasra Kumkumarchana – collective worship of the Divine Mother through the sacred Lalitha Sahasranamam and Kumkumarchana.
- Special Navaratri Pujas and Homams – sacred rituals performed throughout the ten-day celebration.
- Suvasini Puja – special worship performed as part of the Navaratri spiritual observances.
- Maha Purnahuti – the sacred culmination of the homam and collective offerings.
- Sahasra Kalashabhishekam – an elaborate Abhishekam performed with thousands of sacred Kalashas.
- Sri Venkateswara Swami Alankaram – a special devotional celebration dedicated to Lord Venkateswara on Vijayadashami.
- Maha Anna Prasadam – Anna Prasadam served throughout all 10 days, with lakhs of devotees partaking in the sacred offering.
- Vedic Chanting, Pujas, Japa and Parayanam – continuous spiritual practices conducted by Vedic scholars and devotees throughout the celebrations.
Devotees who attend the Yagam in person will have the blessed opportunity to participate directly in the rituals and offer Purnahuti in specially designated Homa Kundas.
Devotees who are unable to attend in person may also participate by registering the devotee’s name and Gotra. On their behalf, the Ritwiks will perform all the prescribed Pujas and Homams according to Vedic traditions for all ten days.
After the completion of the Yagam, the Yaga Prasadam, Aishwarya Deepam, a sacred memento of the Goddess, and Shesha Vasthram will be sent to the devotees by post.
